My Cat Vommited BLOOD?????!!!!?

0 votes
Yesterday he had a little food for dinner, just cat meat but he didnt eat much
I also sprinkled some catnip on his scratch post (first time for catnip)
This morning he went back for what was left on his scratch post
He did'nt eat either today
Then when I was in the shower he got on top of the kitchen cupboard
And found the bag of catnip and I caught him eating it and it was everywhere (tore hole in bag)
Then a couple hours later he went outside and ate grass
Came back inside and was sick, it was midly diluted blood with grass in it (no food) and there was about 10-tablespoons on it roughly.
So I think the catnip made him sick but WHY is there blood in it ????

He is healthy, just finished getting better from surgery for a road traffic accident and in the last 3 weeks has become overweight.

Take him back to the vet, there could be internal damage that was missed.

Your cat is ill, only a vet can tell you what is wrong. If you don't go, you could be risking his life.

If my cat was vomiting blood, I would be on the way to the vet asap, not on yahoo.

I know you said not to say to go to the vet, but you need to take him.
Something is obviously wrong.

Also, grass can make cats puke, but I don't know why there would be blood.

Like it or not, he needs to see a vet. I am sorry that is not what you want to hear. Vomitting blood is serious.

Time to take this poor kitty to the vet. If any animal or human is vomiting blood, they need medical attention.

This means he has internal damage, probably the inside of his stomach. How are you going to heal that ? The vomitiing is caused by the grass, but the blood and lack of appetite indicate that there is something very, very wrong.
It doesn't matter whether he was healthy or not up till now. At this moment, he is ill. It is difficult to know what the cause is, only a vet could tell you and only a vet could help your cat.

If you can't pay a vet, call him. Tell him what's wrong and asks his advice. If he advises you to bring your cat to him, please do so.
