My cats afraid of everything?

My cat chaco has lived with my fanily for 2 1/2 years and hes not comfortable with alot of things. Hes afraid of my mom and dad and pencils and plastic bags and toys. He scared of alot more things. To much to list. We have a crawlspace downstairs and whenevr i open the door to it my other cat runs in and chaco hangs back and waits like 1 minute sniffing around and looks scared and then he gos in. Im not sure why they like that place so much haha.  Hes afraid of catnip and treats. He LOVES ME! He follows me eveeywhere. Some times hes afraid of me:( hes scared of water in a bowl if it moves. Im not sure whats up with him hes rlly skinny doesnt eat as much as my other cat but hes healthy

I agree with the person who mentioned trauma.  Since the cat was doing well and this just started recently, he migh have been traumatized somehow. The other cat could be resposible too.02805


You should give him alone time with just you without the other cat at first, so he can be the focus of attention.  When you're alone with him give him his own food bowl and sit with him and allow him to eat.

One of my cats Blackie has lived with us for like 6 or 7 years now and he's SCARED OF EVERYTHING. But my other cat I call him little homie he'll go up to complete strangers purring and rubbing against them they say they never seen a cat do that before. It's just his personality to be scared.

I had a cat like this but it was attacked by a pitbull so its traumatized. Has you cat suffered any traumatizing events? maybe thats why.
