Anyone had experiences with Catnip?

Question

I've just bought a catnip growing setup.
Have to wait 20 days.. but I'm pretty excited to see her reaction, lol

Anyone had any experiences with it? Funny stories?

None of mine ever went "crazy" or "wild" for it. Two of them really loved it, they would rub it all over and roll in it, but they were always kind of relaxed while they did it, not bouncing off the wall bonkers like I've heard.
The third didn't care at all. She was completely unaffected like she didn't even smell it or something. (She was a scottish fold and had a real flat face, but she could still smell - just give her anything fishy smelling and she'd go nuts)

Interestingly enough, the girl who could care less about catnip loved adhesive. Whether it be on scotch tape, a fur tape roller, or even just an envelope - she was obsessed with licking all the sticky adhesive glue right off.
If she heard you opening a present or box, she'd zip right over and try to get at the tape. She'd hold it in her paws and lick the sticky side all over.
If you tried to use an animal tape roller on her to get the fur off, she'd just keep sticking her face in the way and lick the tape right on the roll. We'd always give her the sheet afterwards, those were her favorite. She's spend half an hour doing nothing but licking adhesive glue I swear....
That's the only "interesting story" I have to give! XD

I have never grown my own, but when I gave my cat some store bought, he smelled it, licked, it, ate some of it, and rolled around on his back in a pile of it. Then he ran around the room in one of his playful, frisky moods. He absolutely loved it!

my cat simply ADORES catnip. we have some in our garden and everyday we have to go and straighten the bushes back out because she keeps on lying on them! she loves it so much that when we have to prune the bushes, she goes and rolls in the pile of stuff ready for the bonfire.(when the fires not going of course) lol

My cats go over the wall crazy over cat nip.When I introduced it to the kittens they didn't know what to do so I rubbed it on their face and they got the hint.I don't give it to mine all the time but when I do i say "wanna get high?" they come runnin!

my cat rolls over and when you put cat nip in her toys she pushes them accross the floor with her mouth. then she licks the carpet where the toy has been.

i grew so catnip grass and my cat kept eating it and laying accross the tub.

We had it growing in our pasture as kids and our barn cats had a mixture of ambivalence and flat out being crazy over it. The latter were the fun ones to watch.
