How do you wash neckties at home?

Question

I recently inherited about a dozen vintage neckties from my in-laws and they smell as if their cat went to the bathroom on or near them.  What can I do to remove the smell and give them a good general cleaning.  I believe some are wool and others polyester.  Thanks.
