Should I be using catnip on my kitten,s to
ys scratching post etc. I noticed some catnip
filled toys at vet.
I brought some at Market and made my own now wonder if I did the right thing.kitten 8 wks old.
I have already talked to my vet twice this week. About other things and don't want to sound like the nervous "netty" I am. Lol
Also is a 6 oz can of food 3 times daily enough. I also leave a bowl of dry Kitty chow out all day. . I am thinking of stopping leaving the dry out just sticking with cans
.of course will discuss with vet but I have gotten some comforting advice from this site.

I have had this kitten 3 wks love her dearly and haven't felt this "rattled "since my son was born 32 yrs ago the hubby agrees

Actually, when possible, cats should be fed only wet food. They are desert animals and have evolved to get their moisture from food. There is little moisture in dry food (10%) versus wet (give or take 78%). Leaving some kibble out is convenient, and that's okay, but the majority of your kitten's diet should be the canned food.

I'd hold off on the catnip until your kitten is a few months older. :)

My Vet suggests ONLY using the canned kitty food for a treat once a day.  When he is finished put it in the refrigerator, covered.  The dry food is fine for kitty's or cats 24/7.
